Jaclyn, who you may remember as The Confetti Monster from her guest post on magic, had asked me a little while back for my shirt size. I had no idea what was in store for me, but if a surprise is coming your way from her hands, you’re in for a treat. Last week, I checked my PO Box to find a small package from her. Inside was a T-shirt, membership card, and of course, confetti.

A membership for what, you ask? The Monster Cookie Heart Squad. This is a group that she created for like-minded souls who do their best to search for joy in every day life. Check out the mission statement:

The mission of the MCHS is to inspire and encourage all people to love themselves and others, to seek and revel in happiness daily, and to develop the courage to be themselves in all of life’s adventures and situations (unless they are actors or spies, of course, because then it is their job to NOT be themselves, so they are excused).

Another good explanation of the group can be found in the first blog post. We’re just people who live life in our own way, strive to be happy, and are possibly misunderstood.

This group is non-exclusive, but you do have to pay a small fee to join. You can pay $5 for the membership kit, $10 for the membership kit + pin, or $15 for the membership kit + T-shirt.

The membership kit comes with stickers, confetti, your membership card, and access to the Facebook group.

Obviously, I hope you will join in on the fun. But even if you can’t, I’d like to propose a challenge for you in the spirit of MCHS: take one photo a day for the next week of something that makes you happy.ย Of course, we won’t know if you missย a day and make up for it later, but try to make it a daily practice. Feel free to post it to social media with the hashtag #mchsquad, so we can search an find even more happy! I’ll check in with my favorite photos next week.

In the mean time, be sure to look further into the MCHS and see if you want to join!
