Michelle is here for her monthly check-in with her Peacock Vows and a very special giveaway.

It’s been a super busy month for me but I’ve still managed to pump out some mail. Unfortunately (and fortunately) I switched phones somewhere in the middle there– which is great because new phone(!) and better pictures(!). Not so great because I’m too lazy to get the photos off my old phone, which needs to be charged anyway, so this post will be missing some of the fun…

I attended Crafty Bastards this year and in addition to some super cool zines, I purchased a pack of map envelopes from Melissa of Craftgasm. I love using relevant stamps (like lighthouses on coastlines) and it’s been fun trying to find creative ways to fit the address on them.

A couple weeks ago I went on a washi envelope SPREE. It was tons of fun, especially since I have some tapes I don’t use very often. I’ll have to do this again soon!

This week, I spent a lot of my time bundling up Halloween goodies to send out. Hopefully these land in their mailboxes safely! I was very excited to use the Batman stamps; the last few years haven’t provided Halloween-perfect Forever stamps for my seasonal treasures.

I just want to say that I’m really sad USPS is discontinuing the Miles Davis/Edith Piaf Forever stamps, but you can buy souvenir stamps partnered with France– they’re not usable in the US, of course, but they’re great if you want to collect without having to put two letters in a stamp journal… (Though note that they are $1 each.)

I know it’s not much this month, but that’s okay! In between working on stuff for my website, relisting zines (such as my mail art activity zine), and personal projects, I’ve also been putting together two really neat mail prizes for our final Peacock Vows giveaway!

This month, Mary and I are hosting a special giveaway with 3 grand prize winners. One grand prize winner will receive two prize parcels– one from me and one from Mary, another winner will receive a parcel from me, and the third will receive a parcel from Mary. Every entrant will get a postcard or letter from us with thanks for the support and creative encouragement! Enter below for a chance to win a guerilla art kit from Mary, a mail party kit from me– or one of each!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

This giveaway runs through November 17 so you’ll have plenty of time to enter– we’ll also remind you again with our November Peacock Vow posts. You can tweet about it once a day for extra entries! We’ve compiled some super awesome stuff as appreciation for the support.

[edit] Carly won Michelle’s package, Caryn won Mary’s package, and Andrea won a package from both Michelle + Mary. Check your e-mails! The packages as well as additional mail sent to all participants of our giveaway will be posted shortly.
